'Relief in Sight' is a compelling display of 68 photographs reflecting Australia’s commitment to helping people affected by natural disasters and conflict, which I was proud to launch on 10 June 2008.

The 'Seeds of Life' program, jointly funded by AusAID and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research, aims to improve food security through the introduction, testing and initial distribution to farmers of improved germplasm of the major food crops: sweet potato; maize; cassava; peanuts, and irrigated rice.

On 16 February, Bob McMullan met with the ACT Branch of the Youth Climate Coalition. They presented Bob with a copy of their declaration of principles, and then took part in a discussion with Bob about climate change issues and political solutions.

On 3rd November 2006, Bob McMullan hosted a gathering of the Australian-Chile Friendship Group. Members of the group were treated to traditional Chilean food and drink.

Bob visited Crookwell to view the local wind farm as part of the ongoing debate about the role of renewable resources in Australia.

On 25 October, Bob presented Megan Galvin from Kaleen High School with a prize for being the winner of his Christmas Card art competition.
